This ticket stub is from is from The Clash's American debut concert on 2/7/1979 at the Berkeley Community Theater in Berkeley CA. The theater had a 3500 person capacity and iz could only imagine that there are not very many of these ticket stubs still left in the world and this one is the only one I have ever seen. Joe Strummer was dismayed that his band’s American debut would be in a college town. “We shouldn’t have played here,” Strummer told Time magazine backstage. “It’s a university town. They’re boring snobs".
